Welcome to The Hempola - Daniel Clairet Recipe Collection

Unique in the world of culinary arts, Daniel Clairet - of Daniel et Daniel, Toronto's renowned caterers to the rich and famous (and lesser mortal's too) - places nutrition right up there alongside haute cuisine. Paris-trained, with an extensive background in both culinary and pastry arts, Daniel Clairet came to Canada in 1976 when French Fine Food Dining was just beginning to come into vogue. The day Daniel discovered Hempola, was the day he discovered a new, high profile addition to his list of  recipe ingredients for salads, grilled and poached vegetables, fish and poultry. Yes! - a flavourful addition which would enable him to create nutritionally sound dressings and innovative garnishes that would excite the taste buds and... even further enhance his already brilliant presentation techniques.

Asked about hempseed oil, Daniel says, "It's a little like walnut oil, which is much used in France for salad dressings. It has a very pleasant nutty flavour and I see a big future for it in fine dining·"
